Business Plan Development – Pakistan

Client: Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA), Government of Pakistan
Partner: Government of Pakistan
Duration: October 2020 – June 2021

BAZ was engaged to support the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA), a Government of Pakistan institution under the Ministry of Industries and Production, in improving its predefined financial model templates for small and medium enterprises. The work focused on reviewing and updating core financial statements and analytical tools, including the income statement, cash flow statement, balance sheet, sensitivity analysis, financial ratios, and key performance indicators. BAZ Consultants reviewed and finalized the financial models, strengthened the analytical structure, and incorporated measures such as the debt-to-equity ratio, break-even analysis, profitability ratios, payback period, return on equity, liquidity ratios, and stock turnover. The resulting templates gave users a clearer view of financial and operational performance and investment viability.
