The assignment supported NRSP Microfinance Bank in strengthening its operating model, control environment, and lending architecture. Dr Bilal Ahmad served as Consultant, Business Process Re-engineering, and led work on a nationwide process review, the development of a risk management framework, credit policy improvement, and the alignment of the lending framework with the core banking system. The assignment assessed internal controls, identified operating and credit risks, and recommended practical measures for loan book diversification, deposit mobilisation, process standardisation, and internal accountability. The resulting work gave the bank stronger standard operating procedures, clearer lending processes, and a more disciplined risk management foundation for sustainable institutional growth.
